Stutter

Stutter

🗣 What if the thing you’ve been trying to fix… was never the real problem? 🚪 For most of his life, Byron Athene believed his stutter was holding him back. It shaped how he saw himself, how he showed up in the world, and the path he believed was available to him. 🚪 Even though he felt drawn to philosophy and psychology, he convinced himself that becoming a therapist wasn’t realistic. His voice, in his mind, disqualified him. 🚪 So he stayed safe. 😶 Holding back in conversations 🛑 Avoiding opportunities 📉 Choosing a life that felt smaller than what he knew was possible 🚪 But the knock never stopped. 🚪 Over time, Byron began to question the belief he had carried for years. 👣 GUEST INTRODUCTION:
What if the voice you’ve been trying to hide… is the very thing meant to be heard?

For Byron Athene, a stutter wasn’t just something he dealt with it became part of how he saw himself. It shaped his confidence, his choices, and the path he believed was available to him.

So even though he was drawn to philosophy and psychology, he convinced himself that becoming a therapist wasn’t realistic. His voice, in his mind, disqualified him.

So he stayed safe.

For over two decades, Byron worked in office roles, keeping that deeper calling at a distance. But the knock never stopped.

Over time, something began to shift.

What if the limitation wasn’t his speech… but the belief attached to it?
What if the story he told himself… wasn’t true?

That question changed everything.

Today, Byron is a counselling psychotherapist, certified mindset coach, clinical supervisor, and author helping others move past limiting beliefs and step into a greater sense of freedom, purpose, and fulfillment.

💭 FINAL THOUGHT:

We spend so much of our lives focusing on what’s “wrong” with us…
the hesitation, the flaw, the thing we wish we could fix.

But what if that’s not the thing holding us back?

What if it’s the meaning we’ve attached to it?

So here’s the question…

Are you letting your voice be heard…
or are you still believing the story that it’s not enough?
